Street cleaning
In the beginning of April, we start our spring cleaning of the roads, pavements and bike lanes of the city, if the weather permits it. First, we remove sand from the roads, pavements and bike lanes in the central areas. Then we remove sand in residential areas, starting in the northern part of the island. It takes three to four weeks to clean the entire city. All sand should be removed by April 30, if the weather allows it.
For the sand removal to be as effective as possible, you must follow special parking rules between December 1, and April 30.
If your road has not been cleaned by the beginning of May, you can report this to the Technical Services Department´s Customer Service. See the contact information on the right.
